A Two Michelin Starred Restaurant in the heart of Knightsbridge. Marcus Wareing is a truly amazing British Chef. We wanted to build on the legacy that Marcus has established and give him a beautifully designed Restaurant for another ten years at least. We aimed to make the Restaurant more accessible and we stripped away some of the barriers that some people think about fine dining.
The vibe is cool sophistication. It is very comfortable, warm and exudes a true sense of luxury. The style is contemporary classicism, bringing a timeless elegance which is echoed in the lighting, creating a more relaxed ambience. MARCUS is dynamic and we designed a new architectural interior using scale to create space and luxury, in which Marcus and his team can excite and exceed the Guests’ expectations.

I wanted the restaurant to be very London, very elegant, International references yet recognised Globally. I wanted to celebrate the beautiful grand architecture, opulent interiors and embrace a faded glamour through art, sculptural forms and furniture to create a sense of place. I used tone on tone and introduced colour through the bespoke elements of the interior. Robert Angell Design International understands luxury brands and working with Marcus epitomises the true sense of luxury through his unique style of cooking. We combined this with our expertise to produce a cool, relaxed, yet sophisticated Restaurant.
