The brief was to create a beautiful Restaurant to compliment the elegant and playful modern British cooking of Taylor Bonnyman, with an emphasis on native British artisanal produce. The Chef has worked in some of the finest kitchens in London, New York, Paris and Copenhagen. The kitchen brings together its influences to create contemporary, seasonally focused, and ingredient led dishes.
Over three floors the Restaurant seating is on the Ground Floor, with a Holding Lounge and Private Dining Room on the First Floor, Each floor is only 100sqm. We excavated a new Basement to house the kitchen. We had to install most of the plant within the interior and form a vertical plant room due to planning restrictions.
The Restaurant is 100sqm and 40 covers. We wanted it to feel exquisite, intimate, luxurious yet relaxed and welcoming. Taking inspiration from a garden orangery with pale hessian copper backed walls, cream lacquered plantation shutters and a pale gloss coffers.
